Set of driver and passenger center skid plate rust repair pieces for Jeep Wrangler years 1997-2003. Later 2003 model Jeeps will require slight modification. These are full length repair pieces that completely repair the areas in front and behind both skid plates. Constructed of 10 gauge hot rolled high carbon steel which is thicker than your existing frame. Measures approximately 43 1/2" end to end. These pieces gets attached to the frame and the transmission and transfer case get bolted to them. Hardware is included. This is a weld on piece. Moderate welding skills required. (If you have a late 2003 model Jeep an extra hole will need to be drilled prior to installation). You will need to cut out the lower 2/3 of your frame and sandwich the repair piece over the remaining upper 1/3. Screw in provided bolts through the repair piece into the frame, then weld around the perimeter of the piece.  This item will be delivered bare steel.
