This is a brand new set of matched rear end ring and pinion gears. If your axle is worn out, this gear will work with our aftermarket axle offered for this but will NOT work with a brand new OEM Yamaha Axle

The splines on this gear are made just a bit oversize to make up the wear on most used axles.
