This aluminum plate blocks the opening on the turbocharger for the stock bypass valve and is required when installing an after market blow off valve. The stock bypass valve is electronically controlled and designed to release boost pressure. Upgrading to an after market blow-off valve and removing the stock blow off valve will enable you to run higher boost pressures without the factory ECU releasing pressure.
