9 1/2" Rear Drum Backing Plate with Edge Splash Shield, 2pc Set. This item is an exact reproduction of the 9 1/2" GM backing plate with splash shield common to Chevrolet Products. This backing plate was used on countless cars in the 60's and 70's. It was used on both the 10 and 12 bolt rear ends and was considered the 9 1/2" GM backing plate. The plate was used on all the mid size A, F & X-Body cars. The full size cars usually had the bigger 11" brakes so this plate is not for the 11" big brake cars. This stamping is exact to the factory original featuring the correct thickness metal, defined stamping and black plating dye, just like the factory original. This is a Inline Tube exclusive concourse quality exact reproduction, made to NOS specifications. These parts have been discontinued from GM and are only available at inline tube. There is another plate on the market and it it not like this one - it is made of much thinner metal and the edge is all wavy since it was cut and folded instead of folded first. - Not all parts are the same - These are Exact and Correct.
