AFM lifters fail due to a faulty VLOM (valley cover) - Updated VLOM# 12571609 from GM must be installed with new lifter to prevent future failures and warranty coverage.

This kit provides all the components to replace the lifters in the GM 5.3 V-8 engines from 2005 to 2014 with Active fuel Management. It contains a cylinder head gasket set, all new head bolts and all new lifters, 8 AFM lifters and 8 non AFM lifters. All Materials highest quality from Enginetech or Motor World Industries. Please send VIN for confirmation of fitment. Failed AFM lifters are caused by incorrect VLOM engagement timing. Please replace your VLOM with GM# 12571609 when replacing you AFM lifters. Repeat failure is likely if this step is skipped.
