This CNC machined billet aluminum adapter is designed to provide a long term solution to fix the common turbo hose cracking problem found in Dodge, Mercedes Benz and Freightliner Sprinter, which would put the sprinter into the "limp home" mode. Instead of replacing the cracked hose with another OEM hose that would eventually fail again due to the improper design, this aluminum adapter solve the problem and provide a long-term solution for which replaces the metal end on the intake side turbo hose found on the driver's side on the 2.7 liter, 5 cyl. Sprinter Vans. The adapter prolong the hose life even in the high temperatures, high vibration and high boost pressures hostile engine environment. Installation takes about 30-45 minutes and is easy and straightforward (assume you have all the tools ready). It does require cutting of the original OEM hose in order to fit this adapter into the new trimmed hose (which is the purpose of this adapter). The kit also includes brand new o-ring and heavy duty spring loaded t-bolt clamp.
