GIVI's Explorer helmet has a traditional full face street helmet look, but ultimately has a quick release chin guard and further comes standard with two different versions of chin guard that can be exchanged for one another depending on need or riding condition. The Winter chin guard has been developed for a colder and rainy climate with a smaller ventilation port and an add on chin curtain to aid in keeping the cold out. Alternately, the Summer chin guard with its significantly larger ventilation intakes is perfect for a warmer and dryer climate. When the chin guard is removed completely, the fixing points are hidden by the special "caps" provided in order to maintain the aesthetic quality of the helmet and reduce overall noise. Another feature of the helmet is the drop down sun visor which is easily actuated by hand, with or without gloves. The entire interior, including the cheek pads, has hypoallergenic and antibacterial properties as well as being fully removable and washable. The helmet strap closure is a quick release type with micrometric adjustment.
