There is a particular way to measure! First, measure yourself around the fullest part of your chest. Is your tummy is bigger than your chest, measure your tummy. Go the whole way around. Whatever measurement you come up with, ADD TWO INCHES if you end in an even number, but add THREE inches if you end in an uneven number. So for example, say you measure around your chest and it is a 40 inches. Add two inches to make it 42 inches and buy a SMALL. These jackets run small so ALWAYS add those inches on! XS: Chest measures 40 inches, Small is 42 inch chest, Medium is 44 inch chest, Large is 46 inch chest, XL is 48 inch chest, 2X is 50 inch chest, 3X is 52 inch chest, 4X is 54 inch chest, 5X is 56 inch chest.
