It also comes with a ratcheting buckle made of yellow zinc that allows for superior tension on the load. Once the end of the strap is threaded through the buckle, it can easily be tightened by moving the ratchet back and forth. Not only is there more control over the tension when using a ratchet mechanism, but there is also an increased potential for higher tension on the load, making this strap perfect for securing heavy-duty cargo such as construction materials, outdoor equipment and heavy furniture.
