Emergency Repair Tape is the original self-fusing, silicone rubber, multi-use repair product. Originally developed for the US Military, ER Tape is now a standard item in all US Army vehicles and tanks as a part of their emergency battle damage repair kit. ER Tape is easy-to-use and creates a permanent, water tight, air tight, high pressure seal, instantly. It is specially formulated to be self-adhering and self-bonding, even when submerged in liquids. It is elastic and durable. It's waterproof, impervious to gasoline's and acids, and its able to insulate extreme electrical and temperature loads. ER Tape can be used to fix or repair just about anything and is suitable wherever a tough, permanently resilient, void-free insulation is required. ER Tape bonds only to itself. It cures instantly, but the bond is not permanent until 24 hours at room temperature, so an initial mistake can be easily cured. Faster curing and a harder finish can be accomplished through the application of heat after wrapping.
