Is the gas you buy dirty? The simple answer is YES! By using XLP gasoline fuel additive, you clean the injectors and valves, which improves the efficiency of your vehicle's fueling system. XLP even goes a step further by including a friction reducer.
For initial clean up, pour 4.5 ounces into 15 gallons of gas to clean the deposits and build up out of your fuel system.
As you use this product, the friction reducer coats the cylinder walls reducing the upper cylinder friction while some of it survives combustion and accumulates in your engine oil to coat the internal moving parts. As a result, you reduce the internal friction that might otherwise rob your engine of optimal fuel performance. You'll notice the improvement in total miles you can drive on each tank of gas.
Once the initial tank of gas is used, maintain your vehicles "like new" performance by using 1.5 ounces per 15 gallons of gasoline. This means, if you have a 15 gallon tank, your first bottle purchased will treat approximately seven fill-ups and ten fill-ups per bottle thereafter.
