The DemonHead headlight modulator has been designed to make power sports vehicles more noticeable. An external disable switch is used to disable the modulation function. DemonHead is a solid-state two terminal device that is connected in series with the power feed to the lamp (see the installation diagram below). This safety device has been designed for use on off-road power sports vehicles during daylight hours. The rate of modulation is 240 ? 40 cycles per minute, with maximum power being applied to the headlamp for 50 to 70% of each cycle. During the low intensity portion of the cycle, power to the headlamp is held to not less than 17% of maximum intensity. Caution: DemonHead is specified for off-road use. Federal Standard 49, CFR Part 571.108, S7.9.4 requires a photocell-controlled auto-disable feature for compliance. See the DemonLite DemonEye for use on public roadways. Note: DemonHead can be installed in any incandescent 12V lamp circuit. Although the high beam bulb is normally selected, the low beam filament, driving lights, fog lights or other white running lights with incandescent bulbs can be modulated using DemonHead.
