Developed by PST in partnership with and distributed exclusively by 3SX, this 2-piece driveshaft offers an affordable option for both replacing the tired factory 3-piece driveshaft and also saving weight in your drivetrain. This assembly weighs 26.55 pounds versus the stock 40+ pound assembly! The 26.5 pound weight is without the carrier bearing, the assembly weighs 28.45 pounds with the included carrier. The back half of this setup is aluminum and features greasable and serviceable U-joints. We recommend this driveshaft as an upgrade and/or replacement for your factory driveshaft. For one it costs significantly less than replacing the non-serviceable stock drive shaft. Second, it IS a serviceable driveshaft with greasable and replaceable u-joints. Third, the ole addage *if you gotta replace it, you might as well upgrade it* plays true with the weight savings in the drivetrain. This shaft is great for a daily-driven car or one that is headed for the track! NOTE: This driveshaft kit is FULL LENGTH and includes both the front and back pieces AND the carrier bearing. It is a complete bolt-in replacement for the full stock 3-piece driveshaft from the transfer case to the rear differential. Fits Gen1 AWD 3000GT and Stealth with the 5-speed drivetrain.
