Our combination of Cree® LED lighting, IP 67 waterproof aluminum light enclosures, over designed aircraft grade aluminum brackets, ultra-corrosion resistant hardware and aggressive design appearance conveys the Tough Gear and Tough AttitudeTM that Jeep owners rely on and appreciate. *** Easy Installation *** This self-contained kit can be installed easily within 40 minutes by anyone with a basic knowledge of common tools. A small under the hood mounted RF receiver and wireless remote means that no wires run through your firewall or under your dash panel and no original equipment wiring modifications are required. *** Overdesigned Mounting Brackets *** Functional Utility brand windshield-mount light brackets are made from super-strong aircraft grade aluminum and finished with a durable black powder coat finish. They won't rust or corrode and each bracket installed directly to your jeep has a Neoprene backing to protect your paint finish. The light mounting points on the brackets are drilled and tapped, so there is no unsightly nuts or bolts visible on the underside of the brackets. All necessary hardware is provided in each kit, and installation does not require modifications to your Jeep. *** Ridiculously Strong Ultra Corrosion-Resistant Coated Hardware *** The mounting hardware provided with your Functional Utility Inc. kit is stronger than Grade 8 steel, have a minimum tensile strength of 170,000 psi and a minimum Rockwell hardness rating of C37. All kit bolts have a zinc basecoat, an aluminum topcoat and can withstand 1,000 hours of salt spray per ASTM B117. They also meet ANSI/ASME B18.3 standards.
