This LED daytime running lamp will directly replace the existing fog lamp bezel cover. Because of this, we recommend this LED daytime running lights for the Volkswagen Passat with factory equipped fog lamps. However, if your Volkswagen Passat does not come with factory equipped fog lamps, you can still install it and get some universal grille mesh insert from most auto parts or hardware stores (such as AutoZone, Pep Boys or Home Depot) to cover the fog lamp opening.
