Fits years 99-07. GM tailgate cables have not proven to be the most dependable pieces on the truck, in fact, GM did a major recall replacing them due to rusting and breaking. This can be extremely dangerous as typically they broke with weight on them. This makes everyday tasks perilous, not to mention the potential damage done to the tailgate. Install these Stainless Steel Straps in place of the weak cables and worry no more. Straps come with a life time warranty for your protection. We must caution that these straps are much stronger then the points that attach them to the truck or tailgate, so please don't grossly overload the tailgate.
