It's the same grade of steel used to make chimney liners, so you can imagine how corrosion-resistant it is. Each billet grill component is oriented at a specific angle to maximize reflective properties. This gives the 'mirror effect' that so many people are looking for. After welding, the whole grill is triple chrome-plated, including the mounting bolts!
