aFe is proud to introduce the all new stage-2 intake system for the 2009-2014 Dodge RAM 1500 trucks with the V8-5.7 liter HEMI engine. In recent testing this system outflowed the factory intake by 38 percentage. This highly engineered system uses a powder-coated heat-shielded air box with a one-piece intake tube. Handling filtration duties is the Pro 5R performance air filter that features 5-layers of progressive oiled cotton gauze. The Pro 5R filter is constructed with 100 percentage polyurethane for long life and multiple cleaning cycles. The heat-insulating, molded plastic intake tube replaces the stock intake tube. The tube is also engineered for improved volumetric efficiency and maximum performance while lowering intake air temperatures. Utilizing factory mounting points, this system provides a hassle-free installation and retains the original inlet scoop. One-piece filter heat shield: The air filter is housed in a one-piece, black powder-coated 18-gauge heat shield that minimizes warm engine air for maximum performance. This one-piece heat shield uses factory mounting locations and comes with all hardware for a hassle-free installation. Also incorporates the OE inlet scoop. Roto-mold tube: This system uses a CAD designed, dyno-tuned, roto-mold intake tube achieves maximum air flow while maintaining a perfect fit. Huge 7 inch x 10 inch base filter with inverted oval top and base: This intake utilizes a huge, 7 inch x 10 inch inverted oval top Pro 5R performance air filter with inverted top for maximum flow. This 5-layer progressive, oiled cotton gauze air filter provides maximum airflow for increased horsepower and torque. Hassle-free installation: aFe has developed this intake to provide a hassle-free installation that utilizes all factory mounting locations, minimizing the use of unnecessary hardware.
