Improved Racing's crankshaft scrapers (also known as crank wipers) help reduce oil starvation by closely contouring the crankshaft and rods to remove excess oil, ensuring more oil makes it to the bottom of the sump. Crank scrapers also help reduce parasitic drag and windage losses caused by excess oil on the crank, reducing rotational mass and resulting in a typical gain of 2-5 horsepower at the wheels. This crank scraper is designed to be sandwiched between the main caps and windage tray. It's designed to work with factory 3.622" stroke LS1/LS6 and Gen III Vortec engines and is compatible with all windage trays and oil pans used in those engines. It is compatible with both factory oil pan baffles and Improved Racing oil pan baffles. The scraper is compatible with ARP main studs and most aftermarket rods, but is not compatible with ARP rod bolts without minor filing/grinding of scraper.
