RaceQuip's new Sport Model Helmet (SportMod) was designed for the budget minded racer. The SportMod delivers all the standard features you would expect to find in a Snell SA-2010 certified helmet, except the price. The SportMod retails for less than 190 US dollars yet still exceeds the SA-2010 protection standards set forth by the Snell Memorial Foundation. RaceQuip starts with a hand laid fiber glass shell, then installs their proven expanded polystyrene (EPS) liner material. Next, a blended Nomex interior is installed to provide proper fit as well as comfort. The 3 millimeter polycarbonate low fog shield provides great peripheral vision and is retained by aluminum pivot kit hardware. Tear off posts and a silicone eye port gasket to keep out dirt are standard features on this value-priced helmet. The shell is pre-drilled for HNR or HANS anchors to make installation a snap. Sizes available are X-Small to XX-Large in gloss white or flat black with removable SportMod logos.
