This Stage 2 cold air intake system produces 14 maximum horsepower, 18 pound x feet. torque and out-flowed the factory intake by 29 percentage on the BMW 335i (F30) N55. This system includes a durable 18-gauge, powder-coated heat shield and features a washable or reusable conical Pro Dry S air filter for maximum flow. This air filter is constructed with 100 percentage polyurethane, for long life and multiple cleaning cycles. A huge 3.5 inch one-piece mandrel bent wrinkle-black powder-coated intake tube, maximizes air velocity providing maximum performance and throttle response. This is a direct bolt-on kit and requires no cutting or drilling. Filter flange retention design: The air filter uses a unique (patent-pending) flange retention design that requires no hardware to mount the filter to the heat shield to provide a quick hassle-free installation with minimal hardware. One-piece intake tube: A large mandrel-bent intake tube is used to smoothly direct the increased air flow into the engine for maximum performance. 6 inch tall conical filter: This intake utilizes a huge, 6 inch conical Pro Dry S performance air filter for increased performance. This 3-layer progressive, synthetic material air filter requires no oils and cleans with soap and water for maximum convenience. One-piece filter housing: The air filter is housed in a one-piece, black powder-coated 18-gauge heat shield that keeps warm engine air out for maximum performance. Hassle-free installation: aFe has developed this intake to provide a hassle-free installation that utilizes all factory mounting locations. Dyno tested intake tube: The intake tube is designed to maximize air velocity and is dyno tested and flowed using the latest engineering tools for maximum performance and throttle response.
