SM-LED-S is a plug-in replacement for many Japanese and European bikes that have SINGLE contact #1156 style turn signal bulbs. Typically for the rear. This product is sold as a pair. The 2-Pak LED bulbs include Red optic lens for US vehicle codes ANDAmber optic lens for European standards in the package. The light engine of the SM-LED-S includes an array of 9 superbright white LEDs and 2 ultrabright white LEDs in the center. The Lumen brightness is 325. PROGRAMMABLE TIME-OUT FEATURE: SM-LED-S is programmable to self-cancel in three selectable timeouts; 10, 20, 30 seconds. Activate the handlebar switch for one side first, then turn the ignition key ON. Turn the key off as soon as the bulb flashes. Do it 3 times. The time-out will change from 10 seconds to 20 seconds. Next attempt will increase the time-out to 30 seconds. RUNNING LIGHT FEATURE: When installed alongwith SM-LED-D for the front of the bike, his feature is activated. The rear-facing LED bulbs stay on as tail lights or marker lights for additional visibility. Simple bulb replacement with built-in features of selectable time-out and running light option. No additional wiring or changing the bulb sockets or replacing the flasher relay is required. The last thing you need is to worry about canceling the turn signals! Replace both front and rear turn signal bulbs withsignalMinder and enjoy the ride. NOTE! ? MAY NOT not operate properly on older bikes that have mechanical relays. ? DO NOT use if your bike has ONLY a single dash board indicator for both sides. ? DO NOT use on bikes that have bulb-check system or CAN-bus monitoring. ? DO NOT use if you have installed a Run-Turn-Brake controller on you bike.
