Purple Power De-Ruster dissolves rust fast. Specially formulated to block corrosion and prepare metal surfaces for painting. The built-in corrosion inhibitors buffer against moisture, the primary cause of corrosion. Directions: Prepare rusted object by removing any oil, dirt, or grease and loosening rust with wire brush. Immerse rusted object to cover all rusted areas or apply using brush, roller or sprayer. Allow a minimum of 1 hour for light rust or up to overnight for heavy rust (surface will turn gray or black during this process). Rinse object with water and allow to dry before painting. If surface is severely corroded, a second application may be necessary.
