ASR Synthetic Winchlines are designed and manufactured to bring you many years of reliable, high performance vehicle recovery. Key features of ASR winchlines include: High Quality Materials: Plasma® rope, a member of the Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethelene (UHMWPE) family, is the main component of all ASR winchline assemblies. Plasma is the first and only synthetic fiber approved by Warn for use on their winches - not even the popular Dyneema fiber (Amsteel Blue) has been officially approved by Warn. Since ASR Offroad's Plasma fiber has the highest strength-to-weight ratio of any fiber, this means that ASR winchlines are much, much lighter (85% lighter) and stronger (25%-40% stronger) than an equivalent steel winch line of the same diameter. Increased Safety: Plasma® rope, with a lower inch-for-inch weight than an equivalent steel cable, will carry far less kinetic energy in the event of a failure. This means decreased risk of equipment or personal injury due to a broken rope. Easier to Use: Lighter weight than steel cable, ASR winchlines are easier to carry, easier to spool and unspool, and even float on water. These are noticeable benefits when scrambling up a muddy trail with a winchline in your hand to find a good anchor point.
