When we designed our M62-M62tu VANOS tool sets we started out by analyzing the BMW factory tools, then set out to produce a tool set that did not compromise OEM quality or accuracy, but was less expensive to manufacture. The result is a tool set that is actually easier to use than the BMW factory tools, even more accurate, and of exceptionally high quality. Our tool kit may look different than the OEM style kits and that's intentional. We redesigned the VANOS timing tools, which are the most complicated & expensive part of the OEM style BMW cam tool set, and made then more accurate and much less expensive to manufacture. Our VANOS tools locate off the VANOS solenoid mounting holes instead of the top of the cylinder head. This is a more accurate reference location and allows for a less complicated and less costly tool. Because we manufacture our tool kits ourselves here in the USA and sell them directly to you (no middle man markup), and because we don't include a fancy case to put them in, we can offer you an exceptionally high quality tool set at an unbelievable price.
