X2 model-specific kits are plug-and-play. No cutting or splicing of wires required. The back of X2 is customized with the same connector your model bike uses. X2 is compact and self-contained with no pieces protruding in the back or light leaks. There is an integrated cable guide to help keep the lines from rubbing. The model-specific instructions were written with your model in mind. Some models require high-output stator, as noted. HID lights require more power only a few machines can produce; most require the stator upgrade. Most model-specific X2 kits come with a custom wire harness that includes a switch. The switch is set to utilize your model's electrical system to the best of its ability. Some models can run both lights at the same time, but some can only run the high or low beam. If your bike did not come stock with a switch, one is included in the model-specific kit; either a 2- or 3-position switch. For most models, when the switch is set to low the upper 2 inch lamp's spot beam turns on to illuminate the area ahead (the 4 inch flood lamp is more blinding because of its spread). On high both lamps ignite to illuminate both near and distant terrain. HID lights are extremely bright, they create daylight conditions and bright blue-white light.
