The X-Wing features a lightweight polycarbonate shell incorporates a reinforced crown that adds to its impact absorbing abilities. The shell is paired with a dual density EPS liner adding even more ability to slow impact forces.Large flow-through ventilation ports help to keep your head from overheating. Granted, the DOT certification means that it's not as heavily vented as many bicycle rated helmets, but it's a price that you pay for the added protection.
