Here is a very useful wrench made especially for doing engine mounts on Mercedes. This 17mm wrench is used with 3/8" drive and is a 12-point design with a slight offset to access the upper engine mount bolts. The 16mm wrenches are for most of the models , the 17mm works (this is a vague estimate as different models vary by a year or two). The wrench is about 3 inches long and provides a perfect offset for access. With a 3/8" 8-point fitting at one end, your ratchet or extension allows you access to those hard to reach upper engine mount bolts. This tool is a life saver and a big money maker. Once you use it you will be praising it as we do, this is one of our favorite tools in our shop.
