Low Noise - Each and every KFE Quiet Comfort OE Brake Pad comes with vibration reducing brake shims. Since vibration is one of the leading causes of brake noise, these shims absorb vibration during braking and DRASTICALLY REDUCES BRAKE NOISE. The shims also act as a heat shield between the brake pads and the brake assembly. This function helps in keeping the brake fluid temperature low and aids in proper function of the brake system.
Less Brake-In Time - Thermo Scorched process burns off any excess uncured agents in the brake pad compound. During this course, the coefficient of friction stabilizes and NOISE causing agents are REDUCED. Another key advantage is this process during production eliminates the break-in time for your brake systems on public roads with other motorists, and police, amongst other hazards.
Increase Brake Bite - Slots in the brake pad help clean the contact area between the brake pad and the rotor while simultaneously helping gas escape during the friction cycle. KFE Quiet Comfort OE Semi-Metallic Brake Pads are designed with quality, duration, and comfort in mind. These brake pads are designed for daily driving conditions. Our test results have shown time after time a consistent coefficient of friction, which will in turn transfer into consistent braking without fade during regular daily driving conditions. Keeping the environment and general public health in mind, all of our brake pads are made from 100% asbestos-free materials. Each brake pad also is treated with the thermo scorched process. This helps eliminate much of the break-in process. Along with this process, we also implemented the Positive Molding process. This process is used by all the OEM manufactures and ensures a more consistent characteristic in the lifespan of the brake pad. Finally all of our Quiet Comfort OE brake pads come with vibration reducing shims. The shims have several functions in the brake system. One is to act as a buffer between the piston of the caliper and the back plate of brake pad keeping it undamaged and extending the life of the brake pad. Second, they act as an absorbent to vibration, which will reduce the noise. Finally, shims act as a shield against heat transfer. This can help extend the life of your brake fluid and save you more money. Other features include slotted and chamfer edged brake pads, which are featured in most but not all brake pads.
