These XJ bolt-on leaf sliders from Liquid Iron Industries bring the proven reliable performance of the original slider boxes to the DIY market. They are designed to be a direct bolt in replacement for original shackles in the rear of 84-01 Jeep Cherokees. When an extended shackle is installed for more lift, this pivot action is multiplied. In off camber or cornering situations, this pivot action makes the rear end feel loose and unpredictable. Shackle sliders eliminate the pivot action all together which results in a much tighter, more predictable suspension. They also eliminate bad shackle angles known to cause horrible ride characteristics in XJ rear suspensions. The angle of the slide track produces a smooth, tight, and flexible ride much like that of a 4-link suspension at a fraction of the cost.
