These chrome-plated hood shocks are made from a special-order tube Made in brass, each tube is hand-polished, then chrome-plated Each cover measure approximately 9-1/2" long x 3/4" diameter and come with easy-to-follow directions. Making these as chrome-plated covers is much safer than plating the entire hood shock. The factory hood shocks are gas filled and can leak if you try to plate the entire shock. Another nice cosmetic touch that compliments our other polished stainless and chrome-plated parts on the C6 Corvettes.
