The steps for using the 3M Headlight Lens Restoration Kit are as easy as 1-2-3. First, tape off the painted surface around the headlight assembly with 3M Automotive Masking Tape that is included. Then, sand the hazed surface in a two-stage wet sanding process with the enclosed sanding pads (Gold, White, Dark Gray, Light Gray) until the surface is smooth and the dulled layer is removed. Then polish with the 3M Rubbing Compound and buffing pad to the level of clarity desired in the plastic. Finally, apply the Synthetic Wax Protectant to help prolong the look of your headlights. All you will need to supply is a spray bottle and water to use kit. Otherwise, everything that you need is included in the kit for hand application.
