This EGT probe, being the most durable type we offer, is widely used for aircraft applications (popular in Europe) and air intake temperature measurements. It is made of K type grounded thermocouples with a thin and sealed tip that is made of Inconel 600 alloy which provides the highest working temperature available for this type of sensor. The diameter of the probe is optimized to balance the requirement of mechanical stability and the response time. This probe can also be used for air intake temperature measurement due to its small thermal mass. It's compatible with our SYL-1812RA or SYL-1813 gauges.
