Identical to the 2011X, but without front and rear plates or their connector. This is still a highly secure item, and the additional pieces to convert to a 2011X are available if you later decide you need them. This new vault was designed to compliment of line for the 2007 and newer GM Full Size PU & SUV lineup. Rather than a drop-in unit, this one must be assembled inside the console. This adds about 50% to the amount of usable space, and like our other models, it does not block the USB port or 12 Volt power port in the factory console. The top plate to which the door is mounted, has a panel mounted USB extension, allowing access to the USB functions while the safe is locked. Your child can have their iPod connected while they do not have access to the contents of the safe. If you need to charge your iPod or iPhone while you are away from your vehicle, it can be connected inside the safe also. Access to the 12 volt power port is interior only.
