The Comeup DV-9i is a high performance self-recovery winch with a rated line pull capacity of 9,000 pounds and a fully integrated bridge control box. The DV line is characterized by its compact size and light-weight. Each DV winch motor is series wound for high torque and fast line speed with a built-in thermal detector to signal and protect against motor overheat. A waterproof submersible sealed contactor and water proof remote control is also included. The DV series features an ergonomic T-handle clutch with evenly spaced pin holes for positive engagement every 36° to 40° of rotation. The DV-9i includes high strength, A7 x 19 galvanized aircraft wire rope. All DV series winches utilize the Comeup automatic, full load cone brake structure (CBS). The CBS brake outside the drum brake system is an adjustable true friction brake that provides the most brake surface area of any winch. With the increasing use of synthetic rope on today's winches the Comeup external brake system allows the heat from the brake to dissipate easily, whereas with the typical internal drum brake the synthetic rope acts as an insulator keeping the heat in, causing brake fade, slipping and failure.
