If you have an RS4-G4 system in one vehicle and a second RS4-G4 system in another vehicle, you can use the VEH button on the bottom of the remote to switch back a forth between the vehicles and control both systems. No more searching for a different set of keys to get into your other car, simply press and hold the VEH button and the LED on the top of the remote will switch colors to indicate which vehicle you are operating. It’s that simple.

The RS4-G4 can be integrated with your factory keyless entry system giving you the ability to remote start the engine by pressing the lock button on the factory remote three times in a row. This way, you can keep using your factory keyless entry system while adding the convenience of a remote start system.

The RS4-G4 also has the ability to control power sliding doors or the rear hatch for anyone who owns a minivan or SUV. With the help of a separate data interface module, RS4-G4 transmitters can open and close the power sliding doors of your minivan or the rear motorized hatch of your SUV. Customize Your RS4-G4 System

One of the newest features added to the RS4-G4 system is its ability to be converted from a 1-Way system to a 2-Way system. The difference between 1-Way and 2-Way is how the transmitters communicate with the system. In a 1-Way system, the transmitter sends an RF signal from the remote to the antenna receiver in the vehicle which then activates the desired function of lock, unlock, trunk pop or remote engine start. In a 2-Way system, the same process occurs, however the receiver then sends back a confirmation signal to the remote telling you the action was completed. The 2-Way remotes usually have a LCD screen to give you audible and visual confirmation that the action was completed on the vehicle. This 1-Way to 2-Way conversion can be done easily by changing a programmable option of the system and swapping the antenna receiver and remotes. No more changing out wiring harnesses or control modules.

When using the RS4-G4 as a 2-Way system, you can use an LCD transmitter to give you audible and visual confirmation of the commands sent to the system. The LCD remote has a wide variety of icons to show you the status of the system such as door lock and unlock, trunk or hood ajar and remote engine start and stop. When the remote start feature is activated, the LCD remote also displays a countdown timer showing you how much time is left for the remote start to run. The LCD remote will also beep and vibrate every minute during this countdown sequence to keep you informed that the engine is still running. This reminder feature can be deactivated if you prefer to not have the remote constantly beep and vibrate.
