The underside of the BakFlip FiberMax is made from rugged aluminum for structural stability that's evident in all other BakFlip tonneau covers. The Aluminum underside does not excpand or contract in varying climatic conditions and ensures that each panel remains rigid and reliable. The top surface of the BakFlip FiberMax is made from a UV protected Fiberglass Reinforced Polymer (FRP), making the Fibermax impact resistant, scuff resistant and impervious to knocks and dings. The Fibermax is the perfect tonneau cover for trucks that are subjected to a lot of hail, snow and daily wear and tear. The BakFlip FiberMax folds completely open, and critically folds beyond the 90 degree point behind your cab. This ensures that it is in FMVSS-108 compliance.
