Innovation...A great idea never looked so good! S&B Filters cold air intake kit 75-5040D is now available for your 2003-2008 Dodge Ram 1500 5.7L. It's our "buffest" kit yet! The out of the box design of the intake kit bolts directly on to the side of the truck. This eliminates the need for the stock mounting rack and creates the most solid mounting point imaginable. No... You are not seeing double. Yes.. we included two openings for the 75-5040D to enable it to pull in insane amounts of air. It makes use of the stock housing while adding even more cool air with a secondary snorkel pulling air from the fenderliner. Just incase the thought of all that extra cold air makes you shiver a plug is provided for the additional snorkel. We went so big with the air box for this kit we actually had to redesign the filter to make sure you are using the most surface area as possible. We literally replaced everything but the breather in this stock system including the tubing which is now much wider, allowing more air to flow freely, letting your engine breathe to its full potential. We also installed an attachment to the air box that allows you to add your stock breather to the mix. And just when you thought cleaning your filter couldn't get any easier S&B Filters made it happen! With only four screws keeping the polycarbonate lid in place, it has never been so easy to remove your filter from the air box.
