STM's Forward-Facing Turbo Manifold places the turbo right in the wide open front bumper of the Evo VIII & IX. This manifold has been on Evo's running 10.0 stock motor, daily-driven Evo's, and deep into 9 second quarter mile passes.
You do NOT have to trim or cut any of the frame or bumper, but it does not allow for an air filter. There is nothing sissy about this manifold.

You will need to remove your air conditioning to make this fit as well as run a small radiator (like the Koyo Kit)
