The BR 2.4, This engine is based on the 4G64 block. This engine requires a special water pump and head gasket both of which we supply when you buy the engine from us. The 2.4 provides great low/mid range power. The cylinder head will also need work to the combustion chamber to work correctly with this engine. This engine can only be built with steel rods. Recommended maximum RPM is 8,000.

The brand new Buschur Racing 2.4 for the Mitsubishi Evolution 8/9 is a top of the line offering. This shortblock comes to you with the entire rotating assemble installed. Its ready to have the head, oil pan and all the accessories bolted on and ready to be dropped in.

What is included in this block? With the Buschur Racing 2.4L shortblock you will receive:

• 1 - Thrust Bearing
• 1 - set of Pistons Rings
• 1 - Set of Rod Bearings
• 1 - Set of Main Bearings
• 1 - Water Pump (Needed for 2.4)
• 1 - Head Gasket (Needed for 2.4)
• 1 - Set of BR Spec Manley Turbo Tough Connecting Rods
• 1 - Set of BR Spec Manley Performance Coated Forged Pistons

Compression Ratio: 10:1

Along with this kit we also recommend a complete engine gasket kit, new headstuds and all brand new belts & tensioners.

If you have had an engine failure Buschur Racing HIGHLY recommends a brand new oil cooler be purchased at the time of the engine rebuild. Failure to do so can have catastrophic consequences.
