SW series has been newly invented for users who would have needed an adapter/extension(such as ADP-106, ADP-107, etc.) to install our oil drain valve because the oil pans have a recessed drain port. The extended part between the threads and the body is as long as traditional ADP adapters, approximately 1/2" long (except for ADL-106 and ADL-22, 1" long and 1 1/2" long respectively). Also these valves have a short nipple part, 5mm in length, which allows you to attach a 3/8" ID hose (F-Hose) to it for convenient draining. You can simply attach a hose to the nipple or insert the plastic durable socket provided into a hose and attach the socket directly to the short nipple on the valve when you need an extra tight fit. Warning : If you end up finding out that the valve does not need the extended part to be installed, DO NOT install the valve and use the standard type valve, which does not have the extended part. An unnecessary extension may cause damages to your oil pan (ie. hitting the ground). Note: SW Valve extends approximately 1/2" from the oil pan.
