JEGS SSR Distributors come with an internal HP electronic ignition module that is ready to run (does not require an external ignition box) and delivers twice the voltage to the spark plugs. These distributors feature a premium red distributor cap with brass terminals for use with male style spark plug wires, hall-effect trigger (integrated circuit that doesn't have any moving parts to wear out) , a billet aluminum housing (CNC machined and polished to a high luster) and a performance advance curve (additional springs included to customize the curve) . The upper ball bearing and extra long oil impregnated bronze lower bearing work together to reduce friction and provide stable timing. Made in USA. For the best performance we recommend a 40,000 volt 1.5 ohm coil (available separately as # 555-40100 or 555-40105 ) . This distributor does not require an external ignition box, but can be used to trigger most multi-spark CD ignition boxes (if desired) .
