This tool interfaces with the cam gears and is utilized for the critical task of securing and maintaining TDC timing alignment when the cam belt is serviced or removed for other front-engine or cylinder head service tasks.
Please note that this tool is only applicable to V6 5-valve engines installed in VW & Audi platforms from 1997-2005. It is not applicable to any 2-valve engines or the 2002 3.0L, 4-cam engine).
