Plug unit into OBD2 port under the dash (May have cover) Turn on the ignition to position 2 without starting the car Press the button on the unit corresponeding to the reset you want to perform Keep it pressed until the LED turns off Release the button Note: Some vehicles you may need to do inspection reset before oil reset
Customer review: "This tool works really well on OBD II equipped BMWs. I use this on my 2003 e46. Simply plug it in, and turn the key to acc (gauges and such on but no ignition). Press the button you want to reset then the lights will all turn on. Unplug and turn key to off then back on. Should be reset at that point."
Will not work on cars that have a reset Socket under their DASH (20 pin) Pre-2001 - That is a different tool
