SP Performance Cross Drilled and Slotted Brake Rotors are a unique design offering the best combination of cooling and out-gassing. Special features include the exclusive SP Sinusoid Curve chamfer that has no edge. This is accomplished by the use of an outer radius curve rather than a countersink. The radius curve virtually eliminates any edge on the surface of the hole. With no edge, there is less stress build up, thus reducing the chance of surface checking. This smooth surface also makes the rotor more pad friendly by reducing the wear of the pad caused by the friction scraping against a sharp edge.

These rotors are electro-plated with a bright Silver Zinc Finish to give a more appealing look. Electro-plating forms a metallurgical bond between the plating and steel, forming an iron rich alloy with tenacious bond where it will form its own protective oxide layer. Electro- plating is very effective in combating the corrosion of the rotor.
