Most exhaust pipe joints are slip-fitted together. Position this simple saddle clamp right at the end of the slot, which should be halfway up the swaged area on the outer pipe. Position the slots in the pipe at the end of the saddles to allow the pipe to cinch slightly as the nuts are tightened. Tighten until the pipe ï¿½crushesï¿½ slightly under the clamp.
