This eliminates you having to kneel on the ground to install or remove a box every time you want to pull or drive your towed vehicle! Most vehicles power up their assist breaking feature by boosting vacuum from the engine when it is running. Thus, to power up the power assist braking in a car that is not running, we include a vacuum pump to power up the vacuum booster in your "non-running" Towed vehicle. Thus, we apply the brakes... just as the car manufacturer intended for them to be applied... with power assist.
