Electrical consumption might seem misleading as an HID Conversion Kit is actually brighter than halogen bulbs, but HID actually consumes less electricity. In each HID conversion kit you are given ballasts. These ballasts actually convert your standard 55w electricity that powers your halogen bulbs and reduces it to 12V 35W. This puts less strain on your electrical systems.
