The Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 is taking performance to the next level with “VCP” (Variable Contact Patch) technology. This technology ensures that the tire is always using the maximum amount of allowable contact patch in all situations. The tire features an asymmetric tread design to deliver the optimal amount of grip in both wet and dry conditions. The inner shoulder blocks have a 40% groove to rubber ratio, which allows greater wet traction due to more grooves and sipes. The outer shoulder blocks have a 30% groove to rubber ratio, which allows for increased dry traction due to the larger tread blocks. To complete the tire, four wide circumferential grooves evacuate water quickly and efficiently to reduce hydroplaning. The PS2 has been designed to meet the demands of today's best sports cars, and has become the OEM tire for BMW Motorsport, Mercedes AMG, Porsche and Audi.
