The heavy duty gas shock gently swings your tailgate open on its own and it stays open while you load your Jeep. It will not unexpectedly swing back and hit you.
Slight inward pressure closes your tailgate with ease with a quick release locking mechanism to push.
Comes with mounting hardware. Some drilling is required for installation.
This product is designed in accordance with factory original equipment rear swing gate and tire carrier weight specifications. Please refer to the Jeep JK owners manual which states no to exceed 50 lbs (23 kg).
THIS ITEM WILL NOT FIT VEHICLES THAT ARE EQUIPPED WITH THE FACTORY REAR SUBWOOFER SPEAKER.
